"If 2020 taught us nothing else, every opportunity to celebrate should be fully harnessed and embraced. I embrace this honor. I hope that you do the same in your life. Remember to celebrate all of the little things, the minute details, the things that don’t matter to anyone else."

Reflections on my #Houston #valentines2021 💞
These last few days have been challenging. I wrote this article on the evening of Valentine's day as our electricity flickered off for the first time. Sitting in utter darkness, I had a lot of time to reflect and since it was "Love Day" - could there be a better topic?
A whole 4 days later, I have so many new reflections now, but I wanted to stay true to my words in that moment.
UPDATE: My family and I are doing well and have all of the essentials (electricity, warmth, food, water, etc.). Our electricity has been back on for almost a whole day now - we have been very blessed throughout this whole ordeal.
Please continue to pray for my fellow #Houstonians, all #Texans, and everyone else affected by this unprecedented weather in the midst of a health pandemic in the midst of a social and racial injustices. Phew - come on 2021 - let's turn it around!
H-town hold it down! 🤘🏾💞

Shattered Emotions
We are living in a time where each day brings new challenges: A global pandemic, the acknowledgement of racial injustices, and the passing of so many loved ones 💔
